POLICIES & PREFERENCES
Delete your account
On this page
- Last updated: October 27, 2026
- Applies to: your Grind Labs account, on grindlabs.ca, lagrind.ca and grindclinic.ca and in the Grind Labs apps for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows, Grind Clinic included.
You can delete your Grind Labs account, and the personal information linked to it, at any time. You do not need to cancel anything first.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Sign in on grindlabs.ca or in one of our apps.
- Open Profile → Your data → Delete your account.
- Confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first.
The result tells you when the deletion is complete, or what could not be removed and why. A web subscription is closed in the same step. Our apps sell nothing through an app store, so there is nothing to cancel with Apple, Google or Microsoft.
2. Ask us by email
If you cannot sign in, write to hello@grindlabs.ca from the email address of your account, with the subject Delete my account. We confirm that the request comes from you, then delete the account, ordinarily within 30 days. Never send us your password.
3. What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted: your account and sign-in; your profile; your study activity, notes, decks, cards, question sets and progress; your messages, posts and friend connections; your files, recordings and Casper takes; your AI history and Grindstones, including stones you bought and have not used; your name in the gift history of friends you gave stones to or received them from; and your Grind Clinic séances, shared weeks, trades, alerts, shared messages and the locked copy of your clinic.
Kept only where needed: purchase, receipt and tax records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires; security, fraud and dispute records, while they are needed; and moderation evidence or material under a valid legal hold. Where such a record must stay, your name and email are replaced by a placeholder when possible. Encrypted backups expire on their normal cycle.
Not in our hands: copies other people made outside the Service, such as a screenshot or an export; files you saved to your own Google Drive; and Grind Clinic patients kept only on a device, which stay there until you remove them or clear that device.
The Privacy Policy explains retention and deletion in full (section 12).
